Product of the week - 7 Feb 2011

This weeks product of the week are tabby snugglies.

Have you ever noticed that your baby or toddler is more interested in the tag on this/her toy
than the actual toy?

These Snugglies are specially designed for the enjoyment of babies and toddlers. The tabs are triple stitched for safety.

They are made from a patchwork of 9 fabrics on the front and minky or fleece on the back. Each tabby has at least 14 tabs.

Will you be my Valentine

With Valentines day coming up soon I thought I would run a competition.

The winner will win some valentines day themed products made by me, I am yet to decide what these will be but I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Ok so how are we going to do this, I guess since it is a Valentine's day prize I will have some
Valentine's day trivia questions to answer.

Each day for the next 4 days I will post a clue on my facebook page, you will then need to find the question on my website and then come back here and leave your answer as a comment below. Make sure you enter your name on the comment as no prizes will be awarded to "anonymous", and use the same name for all answers so I can collate them together. I will do the draw for the winners on Saturday 5th.

Those that get all the questions right will go into a draw to win the main prize pack. I will also have a minor prize as a spot prize which will be drawn from all the entries received regardless of how many questions you get right.

This Competition has now closed and the winners have been drawn.

The winner of the main prize pack, drawn from those who had correct answers for all 4 questions is Melany Congratulations Melany.

The winner of the spot prize, drawn from all other entries is KA Congratulations KA.

Can Melany and KA please contact me at tania@taniastreasuretrunk.com with your postal address. Thank you.

Thank you to everyone that has entered the competition. I would like to offer you a 10% off voucher to use on my website. To get the voucher code please email me at tania@taniastreasuretrunk.com and I will email it to you.

Product of the week

This weeks product is the Tabby Bib.

We all know that babies dribble lots and need bibs, they also love to play with tabby blankets right, well I thought "why not combine the two into one product" and so I came up with a tabby bib. Now your baby will always have their tabby snugglie close to them.

I have a few different designs in stock at the moment, some are one off's so if you want them get in quick.

They can be purchased on my website under the tabby bibs category for only $7 each or two for $13 if you enter the redemption code 2bib13 into the box on step 2 of checkout. These prices are only valid until Sunday 6 Feb.

Here are some of the designs I have in stock.

Clevedon Village Markets

A while ago I attended the Clevedon Village Markets. I thought I would share some of the photos with you.
My whole stall.

Raffle on top of stand.

Reversible bucket hats.

Bibs, Soft toys, Baby BooBoo Bags, Crayon rolls, Wheat bags.

Back to the Blog

Wow its been a while since I updated my blog.

Lots of new things have happened over the last, WOW 7 months, didn't quite realise it was that long.

I have pretty much completely changed my product line, I found that people just weren't interested in buying the crochet items that I was making so have been sewing things instead.

Here are some of the things that I have made so far;
  • Activity Centres for on cot ends
  • Reversible Bucket Hats
  • Tabby Blocks
  • Tabby Snugglies
  • Tabby Block and Snugglie Sets.
  • Tabby Bibs
  • Wheat bags and Baby BooBoo Bags
  • Roll up pencil cases and Crayon Rolls
  • Lunch wraps and snack bags
  • Edu Blocks
  • Christmas stockings
  • Christmas cards
  • Hairclips
I have also made my own website: www.taniastreasuretrunk.com

I have been to Clevedon Markets but unfortunately didn't sell anything there. The foot traffic was really low and there weren't really any families that came, I assume this was due to the Auckland Santa Parade being on the same day.

Day after D-Day

Yesterday was D-Day for the Devonport craft market.

The day started off very slow, wet and cold. We had our stall outside and I don't think many of the people that came to the markets even knew we were there because we were around the side of the building.

Sales were going very slow with only a couple of booties being sold by the other ladies.

We managed to sweet talk our way into moving our stall into the hall where it was nice and warm. The other ladies make a few more sales but unfortunately no one seemed very interested in what i had to sell. I did however sell one of my fairy dresses after the market.

Briannah Sold 3 of her book marks which made her happy as this meant she could get her face painted and buy a heart shaped biscuit.

Overall it was a little disappointing but it was a great learning curve. I don't think I will be making much more baby hats as there were already about 5 stalls selling them at that market.

Time to get my thinking cap on and come up with some new ideas i think.

Facebook Page

Today I set up a Facebook page for my Blog.
You can view it here

There is also a badge to the right of my blog which you can click on to go to the facebook page.

Well it looks like the weather is going to be horrible on Sunday for the market. We have decided to go anyway and hopefully there will be some cancellations and we can go inside.
